INDOLOGY RESEARCH AREAS
The Academy offers webinars featuring authors and professors devoted to contributing to conversations and research on Indology. There is a renewed interest in examining nuances of topics from an indigenous perspective and the Academy strives to bring forth scholars from the Indian subcontinent and the diaspora so that their works become known and accessible to the larger, global academic community. The native or the indigenous lens has often been ignored in examining cultures and phenomena and the same holds for research emanating about the Indian subcontinent. The Academy’s goal and interest are to utilize the native paradigms and framework within the academic framework to advance research in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Student research and mentoring are an integral part of academia. The Academy hopes to guide and mentor undergraduate and graduate scholars who wish to learn about particular Indology-based topics but are not able to readily locate desired programs, courses, or professors in particular fields to guide thesis projects, dissertations, etc.
JOURNAL & CONFERENCING
The Indology Academy runs The International Journal of Indology, a peer-reviewed Journal since 2023. The peer-review process ensures quality assurance and high-quality research production. The process incorporates expert evaluation and critique leading to the advancement of research as well as potential future collaborations and intellectual exchanges. This process ensures that the work is critically assessed for its methodology, data analysis, interpretation, and overall contribution to knowledge. The insights and feedback provided by reviewers help authors improve their research and strengthen their arguments. The International Journal of Indology serves as a platform for sharing ideas, discoveries, and advancement in various fields. This cooperative research endeavor will primarily advance Indology perspectives in the areas of Social Science and Humanities. Simultaneously, planning conferences that allow academics from different nations and institutions to work within the Indicism paradigm is one of the aims of the Academy. Our role is to foster academic dialog between Indology researchers and enable collaborative efforts that result in publications and other networking endeavors across boundaries. The Academy is dedicated to encouraging and guiding Ph.D. students and young academics to learn rigorous research methodologies and apply them to Indology fields, thereby fostering holistic, well-trained future academics and practitioners.
